Yeat – Lyfestyle

Rapper, penulis lagu, sekaligus label founder asal California, Yeat merilis album studio ke-5 bertajuk “Lyfestyle” melalui label Field Trip dan Capitol Records. Ini akan menjadi album ke-2 Yeat yang dirilis tahun ini, dimana pada Februari lalu dia baru saja melepas album studio ke-4 nya bertajuk “2093”. Album ini sendiri akan hadir dalam 4 versi berbeda, yakni: Digital, Dune, Horse, dan Drone. Keseluruhan versi album akan disertai oleh bonus track. Total Yeat akan menyertakan 20 lagu inti dan 1 lagu bonus bertajuk “Fate”, dimana tanpa kolaborasi dari 1 musisi maupun rapper sekalipun, Yeat akan membawakan secara penuh.

Kelly Lee Owens – Dreamstate

Produser-penulis lagu Kelly Lee Owens merilis album studio ke-4 bertajuk “Dreamstate” yang dirilis melalui label DH2. Ini menjadi album debut bagi Kelly di bawah naungan label DH2. “Dreamstate” diproduseri oleh George Daniel, Bicep, dan Tom Rowlands (The Chemical Brothers). Selain menjadi produser, George Daniel sendiri dikenal sebagai drummer dari The 1975, sebagai pengganti dari Matt Healy. Dalam laman bandcamp resmi Kelly Lee Owens, terdapat catatan singkat mengenai konsep album “Dreamstate”: “Ada perasaan kebebasan dan pelarian yang luar biasa yang ditemukan di seluruh album terbaru Kelly, ‘Dreamstate’. Itu adalah suara seseorang yang melepaskan dan membiarkan segalanya berlalu sambil mendorong orang lain untuk melakukan hal yang sama.”

Ensiferum – Winter Storm 

Band epic folk metal Ensiferum merilis album pertama dalam kurun waktu 4 tahun berjudul “Winter Storm” yang dirilis melalui label Metal Blade Records.Janne Joutsenniemi kembali dipercaya sebagai produser utama, dimana ini menjadi ke-5 kalinya Janne memproduseri materi Ensiferum, sementara figur audio engineering metal kawakan, Jens Bogren kembali diberi kepercayaan untuk menangani mixing dan mastering album, setelah Jens juga berkolaborasi untuk rilisan Ensiferum sebelumnya, “Thalassic”. Selain menampilkan performa dari anggota inti, Ensiferum turut memboyong sejumlah artist tamu seperti Lassi Logrén yang mengisi alat musik Nyckelharpa dan Violin, lalu Madeleine Liljestam yang menyumbangkan tarikan vokalnya pada salah satu lagu berjudul “Scars in My Heart”, dan Mikko P. Mustonen yang menangani elemen orkestra pada album. Selain perilisan album, agenda Ensiferum di tahun ini lainnya adalah mengadakan tur Eropa yang akan dimulai 5 Desember mendatang di venue Sibeliustalo, Finlandia Klubi, yang berlokasi di Lahti, Finland.

Cold Cave – Passion Depression

Duo synth-pop / darkwave yang beranggotakan Wesley Eisold dan Amy Lee ini baru saja melepas album studio ke-5 sepanjang karir mereka berjudul “Passion Depression” melalui label  Heartworm. Meski album mereka tergolong banyak, namun “Passion Depression” justru dirilis dalam jangka waktu yang lama, dimana mereka mengambil jeda 3 tahun dari rilisan album terakhir mereka, “Fate in Seven Lessons” yang dilepas 2021 lalu. Mereka sendiri baru saja menjalani sejumlah konser dalam rangka acara tur mereka, dimana konser terakhir akan diadakan pada 2 November mendatang di venue the Belasco yang berlokasi di Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat. Total terdapat 8 lagu yang terdaftar dalam “Passion Depression”, dimana 5 diantaranya yang masing-masing berjudul “She Reigns Down,” “Shadow Dance,” “Blackberries,” “Hourglass”, dan “Siren Song” menjadi single untuk album terbaru Cold Cave kali ini.

Capilla Ardiente – Where Gods Live and Men Die

Band epic doom metal asal Chile, Capila Ardiente merilis album studio ke-3 bertajuk “Where Gods Live and Men Die” melalui lable High Roller Records. Album ini berjarak 5 tahun lamanya dengan album pendahulu mereka, “The Siege” yang dilepas pada tahun 2019 lalu. Sang gitaris ritmis mereka, Igor Leiva kembali menjadi produser utama dan menangani hampir keseluruhan menangani proses teknis audio dibalik layar mulai dari menjadi pemandu sesi rekaman, mixing, hingga menyelesaikan proses mastering. Mereka merekrut seniman Maciej Kam untuk menggarap artwork sampul utama pada album. Sang bassist, Claudio Botarro Neira menjelaskan konsep lirik dalam album terbaru Capilla Arciente: “Dengan kata lain, ini adalah kisah penutup dari dua album kami sebelumnya dan EP pertama kami. Sekali lagi, ini adalah perjalanan yang sepi, tetapi kali ini adalah bab terakhir, kisah tentang kepergian. Kisah ini membahas tentang kehilangan pribadi, luka dari masa muda, penyakit, dan kebutuhan untuk mengatasi dan melampaui dengan tekad.”

Mariya Takeuchi – Precious Days

Salah satu penyanyi legendaris city pop asal Jepang yang kini kembali digandrungi kawula muda, Mariya Takeuchi melepas album terbaru bertajuk “Precious Days” melalui label Moon Records. Meski ini menjadi koleksi album studio ke-13 milik Takeuchi, namun “Precious Days” berjarak 10 tahun dengan rilisan terakhir sebelumnya milik Takeuchi yang berjudul “Trad”. Album ini menampilkan gabungan dari materi anyar Takeuchi, dengan beberapa lagu-lagu yang telah dirilis sebelumnya, namun yang diremix ulang. Selain itu Mariya Takeuchi akan berduet dengan penyanyi city pop legendaris asal Jepang lainnya, Anri pada lagu berjudul “Watching Over You”. Mariya Takeuchi juga beradu vokal dengan sang suami, Tatsuro Yamashita pada lagu berjudul “ All I Have To Do Is Dream”. Selain merilis album baru, Mariya Takeuchi juga telah mempersiapkan tur comeback-nya yang akan diselenggarakan pada tahun 2025 mendatang yang dimainkan dalam 14 tempat berbeda di Jepang. Tur ini adalah pengganti tur Mariya Takeuchi yang sempat tertunda pada 2021 lalu, akibat pandemi covid yang melanda. 

Machine Girl – MG Ultra

Grup digital hardcore Machine Girl yang terdiri dari duo produser Matthew Stephenson dan drummer Mankind merilis album studio ke-9 bertajuk “MG Ultra” yang dirilis melalui label Future Classic. Ini menjadi awal konsep Machine Girl yang baru, setelah pada tahun-tahun sebelumnya mereka sibuk menggarap album double untuk digunakan sebagai kumpulan soundtrack untuk video game bernama Neon White. Machine Girl sendiri terkenal dengan banyak memadukan elemen musik elektronik mulai dari breakcore, jungle, digital hardcore, gabber, dan masih banyak jenis musik elektronik yang pernah disentuh oleh mereka. Namun kali ini “MG Ultra” akan berada pada ranah elemen drum n bass, breakcore, dan footwork. Selain merilis album, Machine Girl telah menyiapkan agenda tur mereka yang akan dimulai 31 Oktober mendatang di venue Brooklyn Steel yang berlokasi di New York, Amerika.

Bonjour Tristesse – The World Without Us 

Proyek tunggal black metal asal German yang digagas oleh Nathanael ini melepas album studio ke-4 bertajuk “The World Without Us” yang dirilis melalui label Supreme Chaos Records. Percis di tahun sebelumnya Bonjour Tristesse juga merilis album studio bertajuk “Against Leviathan!”. Menurut keterangan yang ditulis Nathanael melalui laman bandcam resmi Bonjour Tristesse, selama penggarapan dan penulisan album, ia mengaku banyak terinspirasi dari para filsuf, sastrawan, dan pemikir besar dunia seperti Charles Bukowski, Fredy Perlman, John Zerzan, Mikhail Bakunin, Walter Benjamin. Dalam album “The World Without Us”, Bonjour Tristesse total memasukan 5 lagu baru.
