tripleS – ASSEMBLE25
Grup K-Pop tripleS merilis album studio kedua mereka yang berjudul “ASSEMBLE” 25 melalui label MODHAUS dan Kakao Entertainment. Album ini menandai kembalinya seluruh 24 anggota tripleS dalam satu proyek penuh, melanjutkan konsep tahunan ASSEMBLE yang mempertemukan seluruh unit dan sub-unit grup dalam satu karya kolektif. “ASSEMBLE25” mengusung narasi tentang individu-individu yang sebelumnya tidak saling mengenal, namun kemudian menyadari kekuatan super mereka dan bersatu menjadi satu entitas besar, tripleS. Konsep ini melambangkan perjalanan dari ‘s’ kecil menuju ‘S’ besar, menggambarkan transformasi dan pertumbuhan melalui kolaborasi dan kesatuan. Single utama “Are You Alive” dipilih melalui pemungutan suara oleh penggemar, menunjukkan partisipasi aktif komunitas dalam proses kreatif grup. Album ini diproduksi oleh MODHAUS, dengan kontribusi dari produser seperti Jaden Jeong dan HARING dari MonoTree. Konsep visual album ini menampilkan berbagai versi, termasuk “We So Alive” dan “Are You Alive”, yang menggambarkan dualitas antara kesadaran dan ketidaksadaran, serta kehidupan dan mimpi.

Eleventh Ray – Reviving Tehom
Dari jantung skena ekstrem Athena, Yunani, tempat kelahiran para pionir black metal mediterania seperti Rotting Christ dan Necromantia, lahirlah sebuah entitas baru yang menolak untuk sekadar menjadi bayangan masa lalu. Eleventh Ray, kuartet blackened thrash/doom metal yang telah lama tertidur dalam embrio kekuatan gaib, kini bangkit dan memperkenalkan dunia pada album debut mereka yang menghantui: Reviving Tehom.Dirilis melalui label Dark Descent Records, “Reviving Tehom” bukan sekadar rekaman metal ekstrem biasa. Ini adalah ritual suara yang merobek batas antara musik dan magis. Sejak awal, Eleventh Ray telah dibentuk sebagai entitas otonom yang berakar dalam praktik Sihir Hitam, bukan sekadar sisa-sisa proyek masa lalu sang gitaris Y.K. di Serpent Noir. “Menulis musik demi musik saja tidak cukup. Ini adalah ekspresi dari Yang Tidak Diketahui yang agung, dari simbol kekuatan paling utama Naga Merah”. Ucap Y.K. Judulnya sendiri mengacu pada “Tehom”, dalam tradisi mistis Yahudi, merujuk pada kedalaman purba, kekacauan primordial sebelum penciptaan. Secara musikal, album ini menggugah semangat klasik Celtic Frost dan Sodom, berpadu dengan atmosfer gelap ala “Symphony Masses: Ho Drakon Ho Megas” (Therion) dan eksplorasi sonik dari proyek-proyek Magus Wampyr Daoloth di tahun 90-an. Album ini direkam, di-mix, dan di-master oleh Haris V. di Eleventh Tower Studio.

Forest Spirit, Sun on Your Back – Winnowing
Band slacker rock/emo asal Amerika, Forest Spirit, Sun On Your Back, telah merilis album kedua mereka yang berjudul “Winnowing”. “Winnowing” menampilkan evolusi musikal yang signifikan dari album debut mereka pada tahun 2023. Dengan pendekatan yang lebih terbuka dan atmosferik, album ini menggambarkan perjalanan emosional yang mendalam melalui perpaduan antara slacker rock, indie folk, dan noise pop. Lagu-lagu seperti “nothing”, “line in”, dan “spidery” menonjol dengan lirik introspektif dan aransemen yang kaya. Medico Peste – Aesthetic of Hunger
Band black metal asal Polandia, Medico Peste, telah merilis album terbaru mereka yang berjudul “Aesthetic of Hunger” melalui label Malignant Voices. Album ini menandai kelanjutan eksplorasi musikal mereka yang menggabungkan elemen-elemen black metal dengan nuansa avant-garde dan post-punk. Medico Peste dikenal dengan pendekatan mereka yang unik terhadap tema-tema seperti kematian, agama, dan kegilaan, yang disajikan melalui lirik-lirik yang menggambarkan pandangan dunia yang terdistorsi dan neurotik. Dalam “Aesthetic of Hunger”, band ini melanjutkan tradisi tersebut dengan menyajikan komposisi yang kompleks dan atmosferik, menciptakan pengalaman mendengarkan yang intens dan mendalam. Rekaman gitar, bass, dan vokal dilakukan oleh The Fall, sementara sesi drum direkam oleh Zed. John Zorn – Impromptus
John Zorn, komposer avant-garde legendaris asal Amerika, kembali merilis karya terbarunya bertajuk “Impromptus” melalui label independennya, Tzadik Records. Album ini merupakan bagian ketiga dari eksplorasi Zorn terhadap bentuk musik klasik dalam format trio jazz piano, melanjutkan “Suite for Piano” (2022) dan “Ballades” (2024). Dalam “Impromptus”, Zorn menyajikan sembilan komposisi yang bebas dan imajinatif, menggambarkan cerita pendek musikal dengan struktur yang mengalir dan penuh kejutan. Trio yang terdiri dari Brian Marsella (piano), Jorge Roeder (bass), dan Ches Smith (drum) menunjukkan interaksi telepatis dan kreativitas tanpa batas, menjelajahi wilayah musikal yang belum pernah ditemukan sebelumnya.

Aroma – Mountains of Odorous Decay
Aroma, grup brutal death metal / goregrind asal Philadelphia menghadirkan aroma pembusukan dalam album debutnya bertajuk “Mountains of Odorous Decay”. Mereka memilih untuk merilis dan mendistribusikan albumnya melalui label Inherited Productions, sebuah label asal Cianjur, Jawa Barat yang mendedikasikan dirinya untuk merilis musik-musik brutal death metal. Aroma sendiri telah berdiri sejak tahun 2023, ketika mereka melepas album bertajuk “Adenocarcinoma”.
